When I look back on the path that led me here, I realize that Coppermill Kitchen was never just a business.
It was the culmination of life, talents, and lessons that shaped me. A dream rooted in resilience, beauty, and the timeless appeal of crafted copper heirlooms and handmade vintage kitchenware.
I grew up in a home where creativity and entrepreneurship were part of everyday life. My father was a serial entrepreneur—always building, always dreaming, always taking bold chances. My mother was deeply artistic, able to create beauty from the simplest materials. Watching them, I knew those gifts lived in me too. But for years, I couldn’t find my outlet.
In my early thirties, I began working for a woman who frequently traveled to England for her business. On one of those trips, she invited me to join. As we walked the stalls of Portobello Road Market in London, I spotted it: a dented, scratched, worn-down piece of vintage copper cookware. It was imperfect—but to me, it was captivating. I didn’t just see a pan I saw a story. That moment sparked something I’d never felt before: the desire to restore antique copper, to give it life again, and to turn forgotten objects into functional copper art. That single piece of tin-lined copper cookware awakened a creative purpose that would shape everything to come.
Back home, life was heavy. My husband was recovering from major surgery, and his health—always fragile—was ultimately labeled as terminal. I became a full-time caretaker, raising our children and holding our household together. I was pregnant with our second child and navigating a world full of uncertainty. I realized I couldn’t wait for the “perfect” time. I needed to build something strong—for myself and for my children. Something no one could take away. That moment of clarity gave birth to Coppermill Kitchen—a woman-owned brand rooted in handmade copper kitchenware, and powered by love, survival, and the desire to preserve meaning through heirloom-quality cookware.
But the journey wasn’t easy. Over the years, I became the caretaker, the provider, and the mother. I poured everything into supporting others and slowly lost sight of the girl who once lit up at the idea of antique-inspired bakeware and European-style kitchen decor. I silenced my own desires beneath the weight of responsibility.
Still, the dream never left. It waited quietly—until I was ready.
Eventually, I found the courage to return to it. To dust off not just old copper, but my creative voice. I began again—this time from a deeper, truer place. I created artisan copper cookware not just for kitchens, but for legacies. I designed vintage-inspired cookware that brought emotion and elegance into people’s everyday rituals.
I walked through deeply challenging seasons—both professionally and personally—that forced me to confront who I had become and who I truly was. There were moments I felt like I was losing everything: my momentum, my identity, my sense of direction. But in that unraveling, I found something even more powerful—my inner knowing.
In many ways, I had to start all over again. Not just in business, but in life.
I had to return to myself, redefine my worth, and reclaim my voice—not just as a founder or creator, but as a woman. And through that process, something profound shifted within me. Today, I no longer strive to simply build a business—I strive to live in alignment with what matters. To create from wholeness. To lead from the feminine.
Coppermill Kitchen is still a woman-owned small business, proudly independent and deeply intentional. I personally design or curate every item—from heritage kitchen accessories to collectible copperware like our hand-sketched spoons, copper egg ornaments, and heirloom-quality sauté pans. Every detail is considered. Every curve, every finish, every choice is grounded in the belief that beauty, function, and soul should coexist.
Because in a world that feels chaotic and fast, old-world kitchen charm matters. Emotional home decor matters. And handcrafted copper kitchen heirlooms—like the ones we make—have the power to bring people back to themselves.
Through CMK, I want to spark simple moments of connection:
A quiet breakfast in the soft morning light.
A holiday table set with intention.
A pan passed down through generations, layered with memory.
When people see CMK today, they see polished copper. But what they may not see is the deeper truth:
A woman who built from both fear and hope.
A business born not just from inspiration, but from survival.
A belief that timeless kitchen design rooted in tradition could hold space for modern resilience.
Coppermill Kitchen is my love letter to restoration—of objects, of identity, of life itself.
It is proof that even from the hardest moments, something beautiful, grounded, and lasting can be born.
I hope that now, when people look at CMK, they see my heart—my heart within every detail, every design, every story. Because CMK has not only been my purpose, it has been my healing. It gave me something back too: a sense of identity, a sense of self, and a place to begin again.
And now, from this space of truth, I hope to do more than create.
I want to inspire other women to do the same—to find their voice, tap into their power, and create their own visions from a place of authenticity and strength. I want to be part of this greater shift toward feminine-led entrepreneurship and soulful leadership.
Because from my experience to yours, I know this:
What you create from your truth cannot be broken.
Thank you for taking the time to read my story. It means more than you know. May it remind you that even the hardest chapters can lead to something beautiful—and that your story is still being written.
