This beautiful antique English oval copper tea caddy, dating to the late 19th century, is an exceptional example of Victorian tea storage, combining delicate engraving with sculptural decorative elements.

The body of the caddy features a graceful floral and bow engraved design that wraps entirely around the vessel, creating an elegant and refined decorative motif typical of the period. The lid continues this artistry with lavish engraving across the entire surface, giving the piece wonderful texture and visual depth.

At the center of the lid sits a striking ebony finial, providing a sophisticated contrast against the warm copper surface. On each side of the caddy are hand-cast copper lion head handles, each holding a copper ring. The lion heads are elegant and dignified, adding a regal sculptural detail that elevates the overall design.

The interior is fully silver-lined, a traditional finish used in fine antique tea caddies to protect the copper and properly store tea leaves.

Crafted in England during the late 19th century, this piece reflects the detailed decorative metalwork and refined craftsmanship characteristic of the Victorian era.
