This antique copper teapot or coffee pot, dating to approximately circa 1890–1910, showcases the refined craftsmanship of late Victorian to early Edwardian tableware. The body features a fully engraved and chased decorative pattern across every panel, with elegant geometric and botanical motifs flowing continuously around the entire vessel.
The lid is equally detailed, with engraved ornamentation encircling the top and rim, complementing the intricate pattern work on the body. The faceted form of the pot enhances the engraving, allowing light to catch the copper surface and highlight the depth of the chased detailing.
Inside, the teapot is lined with silver, a traditional finish used in fine tea service pieces to protect the copper and make it suitable for brewing and serving tea.
The piece is completed with a graceful spout and curved handle, while the lid is topped with a traditional heat-resistant finial, typical of teapots from the period. Pieces like this were designed to sit at the center of the tea table, combining practical function with decorative artistry.
Part of the Coppermill Kitchen Heirloom Collection, this teapot was selected for its exceptional engraving and timeless character.
