This elegant antique hotel serving tray by Reed & Barton, from the Adolphus pattern, dates to the early 20th century and reflects the refined service pieces once used in grand hotels and fine dining establishments. The tray features a graceful scalloped form with soft curves and beautifully molded edges that frame the polished center.
At the top of the tray sits a distinctive decorative cartouche featuring a Georgian-style “A”, a hallmark associated with the Adolphus line, which was produced for hotel service and hospitality settings. The tray also features embossed detailing on each side, adding depth and decorative character while maintaining the classic elegance Reed & Barton was known for.
Stamped to the underside “Reed & Barton Adolphus,” this piece represents a wonderful example of early 20th-century American silver service design. The compact size makes it extremely versatile—perfect for serving cocktails, holding bar tools, presenting small bites, or styling on a bar or vanity.
Founder Beth Ann especially loves these hotel trays because they carry the feeling of historic hospitality and old-world entertaining, making them both functional and collectible pieces.
