This vintage set of five copper nut and barware picks features elegantly shaped handles adorned with a classic acanthus motif, a decorative element long associated with traditional European flatware and ornamental design. Measuring 4.5 inches in length, each pick is slender, balanced, and finished in warm copper with a soft, luminous sheen.

Each handle is monogrammed with the letter “R,” a hallmark of early personal tableware that adds a distinctive sense of history and individuality to the set. These subtle engravings reflect a time when table pieces were commissioned, cherished, and passed through generations.

Traditionally used as nut picks, these pieces were designed to accompany after-dinner nut dishes and shared tables. Their graceful proportions and refined detailing reflect a period when even the smallest table tools were crafted with care and thoughtful ornament.

When sourcing this set, Coppermill Kitchen founder Beth Ann Luke was drawn not only to their original purpose, but also to their versatility. In addition to serving nuts, these picks make beautiful cocktail garnish picks, perfect for olives, citrus twists, or cherries. Styled on a bar tray or alongside vintage glassware, they bring a distinctive old-world charm to modern entertaining.

Part of the Coppermill Kitchen Heirloom Collection, this set was selected for its timeless design and quiet character—objects meant to be used, enjoyed, and rediscovered in new ways over time.

To care, hand wash with warm water and mild soap, then dry thoroughly. Polish sparingly with a gentle copper cream to maintain their luster, or allow them to naturally patina for an authentic vintage finish.
